In January, it seemed likely that Arnaut Danjuma, the 26-year-old would be heading to Goodison Park after reportedly agreeing to a deal.
However, he surprised everyone by joining Tottenham for a six-month stint instead. During his time at Spurs, Danjuma struggled to secure regular game time. Despite scoring twice in 12 matches, he never managed to complete a full 90 minutes on the pitch.
Now, Everton has revived their interest in Danjuma, making him a potential addition to their squad as their second signing of the summer.
The Toffees have already secured the services of 38-year-old full-back Ashley Young on a free transfer.
Former Bournemouth winger Danjuma is among the options being considered by Everton to strengthen their forward line.
After narrowly avoiding relegation last season, the club finished 17th in the Premier League table, scoring only 34 goals in 38 league games.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin being their sole senior striker, Everton is also reportedly interested in Leeds winger Wilfred Gnonto and Ajax forward Brian Brobbey. Gnonto impressed with six goals in 45 appearances for Leeds, despite their relegation.
Meanwhile, Brobbey netted 13 league goals in 32 games for Ajax, who finished third in the Dutch Eredivisie.
