Ariana Grande had a courtside view of Sunday’s Wimbledon action on Centre Court, accompanied by her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.
The 30-year-old “Positions” songstress and the 35-year-old Bridgerton star were among the prestigious crowd witnessing Spanish talent Carlos Alcaraz defeat Novak Djokovic in the men’s singles final.
Sporting sunglasses, the Grammy winner and Bailey, along with fellow actors Andrew Garfield and Tom Hiddleston with his fiancée Zawe Ashton, enjoyed the pleasant weather and the thrilling on-court matches.
Grande looked stylish in an all-gray ensemble, comprising a long skirt and a fitted turtleneck sweater. She completed her outfit with simple black heels, a black handbag, and a white baseball cap to shield her from the sun. For cooler moments, the pop star donned a tan coat.
Maintaining her bouncy blonde hairstyle from her role as the scepter-wielding Good Witch in the upcoming ‘Wicked’ adaptation, Ariana Grande exuded elegance.
Bailey, who will portray the love interest ‘Fiyero’ in the film, opted for a monochromatic look, donning neutral shades from head to toe. His tie, trousers, and everything in between matched the hue of tan, perfectly complemented by his sleek gelled hair.
Whether filming scenes as Glinda and Fiyero or enjoying a tennis match together, the duo always seems to have a delightful time in each other’s company.
Earlier this year, they were seen filming scenes in their vibrant Wicked costumes, radiating joy and laughter. The sighting took place on the movie’s set in the United Kingdom.
The star-studded cast of the forthcoming adaptation of the Tony-winning Broadway musical Wicked includes Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible. Ethan Slater will portray Boq, Marissa Bode as Nessarose, Bowen Yang as Pfannee, Bronwyn James as ShenShen, Keala Settle as Miss Coddle, Aaron Teoh as Avaric, and Colin Michael Carmichael as Professor Nikidi, according to IMDb.
During CinemaCon 2023 in April, Universal Pictures surprised the audience with a sneak peek of footage from the highly anticipated movie musical.
Universal chairman Donna Langley praised the lead actors, stating, “They are born to play these roles. They are brilliant and matched by an equally brilliant cast.”
Langley also emphasized that the film combines grand musical numbers and captivating action sequences, while staying true to the classic story of The Wizard of Oz. Ultimately, she highlighted the film’s underlying theme of change and the importance of progress.
The first part of the Wicked adaptation is set to hit theaters on November 27, 2024.
