The Western Conference leaders LA Lakers went on to win 117-87 to the New York Knicks but not without Anthony Davis picking up a sacral contusion injury in the third quarter.
The Lakers dominated the Knicks throughout most of the game, winning the first quarter 26-21 followed by the second quarter 36-24.
The Knicks managed to pull through the third quarter with a 2 point lead of 23-25 but the Lakers came back in the fourth and final quarter taking 32 points against the Knicks 17 points.
Anthony Davis picked up a sacral contusion injury in the final 3 minutes of the third quarter when a fell after an attempted block. Davis who was in visible agony then made his way to the locker and was unable to return for the rest of the game.
X-rays confirm that there was no fracture however it is unclear how long he will be out. READ MORE….
