Ads, Ads, Ads And More Ads! How Do We Take Care Of Our Privacy?

As the advertising industry is transforming to digital spaces, our timelines are becoming more tailored to appeal to individual taste.

Ads, ads, ads and more ads! Adverts are everywhere these days. So how do we take care of our privacy? We take care of your activities.

You click on your favourite music video on YouTube, ads! You turn on the television, ads! Scrolling through your timeline, more adverts!

Facebook has a little such tracker that can access all the information you search on your phone.

The different apps in your phone send information to your Facebook account, Facebook then uses the information to tailor your timeline according to what appeals to you.

The surprise? See that little one-tap cleaner app? The one that cleans all your “rubbish” on your phone?

Well, that little bugger also sends information to your Facebook offline activities.

The good news is you can turn off the offline activities by going to your Facebook settings, scrolling down to your “Off-facebook Activities” and follow the prompts.

If you are of course comfortable with a tailored-for-you timeline, take this as a mental exercise. But do stay safe on the internet!
