Soon after reports of a fight were made on Wednesday, a 19 year old boy named Francois Kablan was found dead in Southwark.
The talented teenage footballer, was found in stab wounds on Great Dover Street, Southwark at 5.30 pm on Wednesday.
Four people were arrested at the murder scene as suspects. A male and a female aged 20 and 18 respectively who were among the suspects were released on bail. However, two teenagers aged 15 and 17 remained in police custody.
Borough Commander for the Central South Command Colin Wingrove said: “This is a horrific incident and our first thoughts are with the victim’s family, who have lost a loved one in tragic circumstances. We are committed to bringing them the justice they deserve.”
A fundraiser has raised an amount which is over 2,500 for the family of the teenage boy.
This tragic incident has left many people worrying about the events which led to the death of this young man. His club has paid tribute to the 19 year old after his passing. They said that the boy was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Kieran said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Francois. This is a tragic loss of life of a young man and we will continue to investigate to ensure justice.
