An American-Israeli police officer tragically lost her life in a suspected terror attack near Jerusalem on Monday. The incident occurred when two security personnel, stationed near a police station just outside the Old City’s walls, were viciously attacked by a 16-year-old suspect.
The brave officers, both American-Israeli nationals, were immediately rushed to Hadassah-University Medical Center in Jerusalem for emergency care.

Tragically, Sgt. Rose Ida Lubin, 20, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival. The other officer sustained wounds and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Sgt. Lubin, originally from the United States and a resident of Atlanta, had recently immigrated to Israel in August 2021. Her dedication to serving and protecting others led her to join the Israeli police force in March 2022. She resided in Kibbutz Sa’ad, located near the Gaza border.
This devastating loss has deeply affected not only Sgt. Lubin’s family and loved ones but also the entire community.
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp expressed his condolences, acknowledging Sgt. Lubin’s bravery and unwavering commitment to fighting evil. He assured that her family will remain in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
