Max has confirmed that it will provide customers with free access to live sporting events for a limited time, confirming an earlier Bloomberg report about the service.

On October 5, the streaming service formerly known as HBO Max will introduce the Bleacher Report (B/R) Sports Add-On tier.

It will provide viewers with access to all live sporting events broadcast on Warner Bros. Discovery’s linear networks, including NBA, MLB, NCAA, NHL, and US Soccer contests.

The add-on will be available just in time for the National League Division Series, the regular NHL season, and NBA Opening Night.

Subscribers in the United States will be able to use the add-on for free, regardless of whether they pay for the ad-supported or ad-free membership options, until February 29, 2024.
