Max has confirmed that it will provide customers with free access to live sporting events for a limited time, confirming an earlier Bloomberg report about the service.
On October 5, the streaming service formerly known as HBO Max will introduce the Bleacher Report (B/R) Sports Add-On tier.

It will provide viewers with access to all live sporting events broadcast on Warner Bros. Discovery’s linear networks, including NBA, MLB, NCAA, NHL, and US Soccer contests.
The add-on will be available just in time for the National League Division Series, the regular NHL season, and NBA Opening Night.
Subscribers in the United States will be able to use the add-on for free, regardless of whether they pay for the ad-supported or ad-free membership options, until February 29, 2024.
They’ll have to start paying $10 per month for access after that. Bloomberg reported that the business contemplated utilizing the March Madness college basketball tournament to promote the new offering.
The competition begins shortly after the promotional time concludes and may be attractive enough for fans to pay for the add-on for at least a couple of months, given that it expires in April.

The sports add-on provides viewers with access to all of WBD’s live pre- and post-game programs in addition to live game coverage.
They will also be able to watch video-on-demand material such as Bleacher Report highlights, sports documentaries, and vodcasts with sports stars and athletes.
