A shocking incident unfolded in North Miami, Florida, as a man was arrested for arson after allegedly setting his girlfriend’s car ablaze. The suspect, Melvin Alain Cintron, was caught on camera igniting the fire on April 29 in front of a residential home, according to an arrest report obtained by Local 10.

Investigations revealed that the targeted vehicle, a Jaguar XE sedan, belonged to Cintron’s girlfriend, who also happens to be his cousin. However, it wasn’t until several months later that authorities were able to interview the girlfriend due to fear and intimidation from Cintron.

According to the report, the girlfriend disclosed that her boyfriend regularly carries a fully automatic gun with a double-drum high-capacity magazine. She even mentioned that Cintron has a nickname for the drums on the sides of the magazine, referring to them as the gun’s ‘t—–s’.

The unnamed woman also shared another disturbing incident involving Cintron, where he allegedly stole her purse and abandoned her without a means of transportation. This incident occurred after Cintron became jealous when he thought a bartender was flirting with his cousin, leading to a heated argument.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Cintron, who resides in Hollywood, Florida. He was apprehended at gunpoint on Wednesday and has since been charged with second-degree arson and third-degree grand theft. Currently, Cintron is being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $12,500 bond, as reported by Local10.
