Zendaya has spoken out against the amount of sex in her next film Challengers. In a new interview with Empire, the 26-year-old Emmy winner revealed that things get quite heated in Luca Guadagnino’s tennis thriller, which centers on a love triangle involving herself, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor.
“What Luca’s good at is finding sensuality and desire,” Zendaya remarked in an interview on August 1. “Just a glance reveals so much.” The tension rises. “Not having the release is sometimes a good thing,” she noted.

Josh stated in an interview that “tennis is the sex” in the 2024 film. “Those moments are so sexy,” the British actor continued. “The film deals with the tension before and after. “The sex they’re all looking for is on the court.”
Tashi Duncan, a tennis phenom turned coach, is played by Zendaya in Challengers. Mike plays Tashi’s spouse and mentee, Art Duncan, and Josh plays Patrick, Tashi’s ex-boyfriend, and Art’s former best buddy. As you may expect, the trio has an exceedingly intricate dynamic.
The first Challengers trailer, which debuted on June 20, promises passionate scenes between Zendaya and her attractive co-stars.
Tashi recalls a day when both Art and Patrick kissed her when they were all staying in the same hotel room. The movie is rated R, which makes sense given the trailer.

Luca also described the Euphoria star as “a remarkable filmmaker” in an interview with Interview. “She is a woman in command who is also completely open to becoming, changing, and being persuaded to do something different.”
She is quite intelligent. “I adore Zendaya,” he stated. On April 26, 2024, Challengers will be released. Due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, the film’s September 15, 2023 release date and Venice Film Festival premiere have been posted
