Following a month-long fight with her fans, Doja Cat has lost tens of thousands of supporters. If you missed it, Doja started by dismissing her supporters’ worries about her alleged relationship with J. Cyrus online.
Several of Doja’s supporters accused Cyrus of grooming and sexual assault soon after the rumored pair were seen cuddling on a yacht in June.

Doja was pushed to address the topic by several social media users. After publicly accusing Cyrus of misbehavior in response, she banned some of those individuals before stating in a pointed Instagram comment that she didn’t care what people thought of her “personal life.”
In her words “I WANT Y’all TO READ THIS COMMENT AND TAKE IT AS A MESSAGE. I Don’t GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MY PERSONAL LIFE I NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL GIVE A FUCK WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ME OR MY LIFE GOODBYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE MISERABLE HOES HAHA!” she wrote.
Shortly after, Doja came under fresh criticism for a string of contentious remarks made on Threads in which she referred to her ardent followers as “creepy” and advised them to “get a job.”
Several screenshots that have been shared on social media claim that Doja responded to someone who urged her to express her love for her fans by saying, “I don’t though cuz I don’t even know yall.”
According to reports, Doja continued, “My fans don’t name themselves trash. If you refer to yourself as a “kitten” or a bunch of “kittens,” you should put down your phone, find a job, and assist your parents with the house.
Doja herself came up with the nickname “kittens” in a Twitter poll a few years ago, and it has now come to be accepted as the collective name of her fandom.
A few of Doja’s biggest fans deleted their Twitter accounts as a result of the purported remarks she made garnering a ton of internet backlash.

However, it transpires that the harm done by Doja’s posts is far worse; in the previous month, the singer lost well over 500,000 Instagram followers.
Twitter users have been critical of Doja for being “disrespectful” to her fan base in the meantime, especially after she openly promoted the release of her upcoming music project without commenting on any of the contentious messages.
