Amid contentious divorce, Christine Baumgartner is reportedly asking a judge to reject Kevin Costner’s plea to have her foot some of his legal bills.
The “Yellowstone” actor was recently ordered to pay $200,000 in legal fees and $100,000 in forensic costs; he has asked his soon-to-be ex-wife to cover a third of those costs.

Baumgartner, however, claimed that Costner wouldn’t have suffered such high legal costs if he hadn’t filed additional papers to evict her from their shared California property, according to documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight.
After 18 years of marriage, the former handbag designer filed for divorce on May 1. Per their prenuptial agreement, she had only 30 days to leave his $145 million fortune.
The actor responded by filing many requests to get her released by the end of July instead of waiting for their scheduled court date, which she said they had already set.
Costner allegedly gave Baumgartner more than $1.2 million at the time to fulfill his prenuptial duties, which also included another home.
In addition, he stated that if she moved out sooner, he would be ready to pay her “$30K per month for a rental house” and “another $10K for her moving costs” as part of his child support.
Even more, turmoil has arisen now that Baumgartner is finally getting ready to leave, with the “Bodyguard” actor accusing his ex-girlfriend of purging his home, which she disputed.

In response, a judge ruled that the model must first obtain Costner’s consent before removing anything from the home.
Baumgartner has been spending time in Hawaii with the couple’s three children and one of Costner’s close friends despite her move-out deadline of July 31 rapidly approaching.
