In recent events, 26-year-old star Selena Gomez makes appearance on Instagram once again by posting selfies on her verified account with the caption, “wait, can you tell I’m back on Instagram?”
The star stated that she left social media for the sake of her mental health to which she made this decision about four years ago.

She specifically highlighted on leaving the purple app because she received quite a number of abusive comments and just generally felt overwhelmed by comments from fans.
She also said during an interview with WWD Beauty that being on the app felt like she was receiving way too much information than was necessary for her.
Selena did not delete the app entirely but had someone handle it for her and came back to the app from time to time where she expressed as the times when she felt “completely honest and true to herself.”

The “ice-cream” singer took a bold step by taking this “detox” for social media for her mental health issues which is something even most people fail to do for themselves.
As the queen of Instagram makes her appearance back on Instagram, we hope to see more of her in this 2023.
