Add it to the iPad, phone, game systems… but while having Netflix wherever we go is a blessing for which we are grateful, there comes a time when everyone must log out in order to protect their account. That can be a little perplexing.

Here’s how to do it regardless of which device you’re using.
Browser
This is the simplest, but at this point, it’s likely that you use Netflix the least. Simply click your profile icon in the upper right corner, then select “Sign Out of Netflix” from the dropdown menu.
In-browser Netflix is also the only place where you can sign out of all your Netflix-connected devices at once, saving you time. A critical security feature that returns all users of an account to the sign-in prompt with a single click.
Simply select “Account” from the drop-down menu above, and you’ll see a “Sign out of all devices” link listed under the Settings section on the following page.
Tablets and mobile devices
These are also straightforward! Similarly, they entail selecting Sign Out from a dropdown menu after clicking on the profile icon. This same menu appears on a tablet under the three lines of the “More” menu.
Smart TVs, app devices, and gaming systems
Because these are some of the most difficult devices to log into Netflix on, it stands to reason that they are also some of the most difficult to sign out of. Here’s what you need to know for that terrifying moment when you can’t find the sign-out button and are about to hand over the keys to your account to an Airbnb host who doesn’t even have salt and pepper: Seek assistance.
Netflix has hidden the sign-out option under “Get Help” on most devices because, after all, only in extreme circumstances would someone want to disconnect their Netflix account from a TV, right? Simply scroll down to “Get Help” and then “Sign Out of Netflix” on any profile. You are not alone if you find yourself repeatedly clicking on your profile thumb in frustration.

It’s a little less dramatic on Apple TV, where recent models allow you to sign out from the “Settings” menu. Simply click through the profiles by scrolling down the left side menu. That makes sense!
For PlayStation, press “O” on your controller, followed by the gear icon. You will have the option to sign out at that point.
