“Woke snivelling pretentious cow!!,” one person posted a provocative post on Twitter after Susanna Reid became emotional on the show.
The Good Morning Britain host was on the verge of tears during the show over the racist abuse Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho had been subjected to after missing penalties in the Euro 2020 final.
Susanna Reid had fans defended her for being tearful over the issue on the show. It comes after the show host tearfully read a letter which had been sent by a schoolboy to Rashford which he was telling the footballer he hoped he “won’t be sad for long”.
After reading the boy`s letter Susanna said: “I hope Marcus feels everything that’s coming through from this letter and all the messages of support.
“Ranvir, I mean honestly. It’s hideous,” she talked to her collegue who had also turned emotional after listening to Susanna reding out the letter.
In a statement Ranvir Singh said: “Privilege is having the choice to think about it. We have to remove that privilege, we all have to think about it regardless of the skin we walk in.”
One fan wrote on Twitter: “I for one believed you felt the way you did and I could see your colleague did as well.”
Another tweeted: “Well, if Susanna was being pretentious, she fooled me, genuinely upset.”
The third tweet read:“You’re a lot better then this Susanna I support you all the way.”
