Despite losing to Italy in the Euros 2020 final on Sunday night, many celebrities took to social media to applaud the England team.
Adele and Stacey Solomon led the celebs in applauding the team after the heartbreaking defeat.
“Aw – Just wanted to say thank you to the England team for giving us so many exciting memories,” Loose Women star Stacey,31, shared a picture of her son watching the game with the caption on Instagram.
Adele posted a picture on Instagram donning a red England T-shirt. “You did us so proud! You brought our game home and brought us all together,” the singer enthused.
Piers Morgan expressed support for the Three lions who had missed penalties. “I admire every player who steps up & shows the balls to take a penalty in a game that important. Especially when they’re just 19, 21 & 23. Proud of you @bukayosaka87 @sanchooo10 @marcusrashford – you missed, and we lost, but you’ve all got guts,” he wrote
Ahead of the Euro 2020 final Phillip Schofield and Simon Cowell enthused words of support for the Three Lions.
“This is the best boost the country can have right now — good luck tonight’, while Amanda added: ‘It has been lovely to feel united and watch the country come together. I’m proud to be supporting England,” BGT judge Simon said.
Dermot O’Leary posted a snap of England manager Gareth hugging Saka after the game with the caption: “Keep that beautiful head up Saka. You did your club and country proud. X”
