The Queen seems to be more captivated during the occasion when the Red Arrows, also known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, nine of them, flew overhead marking the sky red, white and blue.
This was the first Trooping the Color celebration since the death of his royal highness, Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh, and the Queen requested the company of her cousin, the Duke of Kent, who did join her on the dais.
Trooping the Color is a celebratory event that has been going on for over 260 years, though the event was reduced in size this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Usually, it is a magnificent event that shows over 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians, the royal family website has shown.
Though the Queen’s actual birthday is in April, the Trooping the Color event usually holds every June with the aim to be a display of military precision, horsemanship, and fanfare to mark the Monarch’s birthday.
Attending the Trooping of the Colors weekend event makes it the Queen’s second public appearance since she buried her husband Prince Philip.

The Monarch held everyone’s attention at a standstill when she decided to cut a large sheet cake with a ceremonial sword instead of a regular knife as it’s traditional to be.
