Meghan Markle wore a crystal necklace with special significance when she made a FaceTime cameo during Prince Harry’s recent appearance on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”
Meghan matched her $30 puff-sleeved Velvet Torch dress with a far pricier piece, which is a $1,295 trapezoid-shaped lapis lazuli pendant, from The Airelume, the collection of wearable talismans by her friend Taryn Toomey’s brand, The Class.
The product description reads, “Lapis lazuli aids in self-expression and revelation of one’s inner truth. This stone is widely regarded as a token of sincerity and wisdom, and is especially helpful to anyone in need of a boost in self-confidence and a stronger connection to their inner voice.”
The Duchess of Sussex made a brief appearance on “The Late Late Show” a few days before she and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey during which she said she felt liberated to finally be able to speak for herself. Some other topics pointed out during the interview include mental health and racism.
We can understand it when Meghan decides to pick a piece from Toomey’s jewelry line considering the fact that she’s been friends with the fitness pro for some years now, and Toomey also attended her star-studded NYC baby shower in 2019.
The Duchess of Sussex is not new to wearing pieces of jewelry with special meaning. During her CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey, she wore Princess Diana’s diamond tennis bracelet to keep her late mother-in-law closer, her spokesperson said.
Another significant one was when she confirmed that she and Prince Harry were expecting a baby girl, she wore a pink sapphire ring.
