Zayn Malik has returned to Instagram having recently shared a teary-eyed selfie which has been his first post in well over a month.
Fans were ecstatic that he was posting on social media but were questioning why he looked so sad in the teary-eyed selfie and with no caption to explain the photo fans came up with their own answers. –
Some fans noted that it coincided with the Islamic festival of Eid al-Adha which runs from 30th July to 2nd August 2020. While Zayn Malik seems to be wearing eyeliner in his photo, one fan pointed out that it’s not makeup, but rather a celebration of his culture.
“Hey babes, Zayn is not wearing eyeliner,” the Twitter user explained in response to another publication.
“It is surma, we Muslims put in on eids and other occasions (today is eid), but I am not sure (surma is not considered makeup).” – The user explained.
While other fans wondered if he was doing alright, with one commenting: “Um zayn? Are you okay it looks like your crying.”
This year has been an exciting time as One Direction celebrated their milestone of 10 years since the band had got together, this year also brings the joy of new life as Zayn will soon be a father.
In April, Gigi Hadid confirmed that she and Zayn are expecting their first child together, following five years of on-off dating. She recently took to Instagram posting a photo of both of them in a passionate kiss.
She captioned the post with just two words saying: “Babby daddy” along with smile emoji. –
This caught the attention of more fans as they hardly ever see posts of Zayn anymore.
Hailey Bieber shared a string of pink heart emojis in response to the post, while model Adriana Lima commented with heart emojis saying: “Blessings to your new family my dear.”
Appearing on the Jimmy Fallon show in April Gigi said that she and Zayn are “very excited and happy” to be becoming parents.
