Olly Murs was forced to delete The X Factor clip of his 2009 audition from social media as there was a dispute between him and The X Factor saying that he cannot use their content even though Olly stars in the video.
Olly Murs took to social media to express his disbelief over the copyright matter, in a clip on Instagram he says “So I’ve just had to delete my audition on The X Factor ’cause apparently there’s a dispute that between The X Factor or something that I can’t use their content.”
“Er, hello? It’s me in the f*****g video,” Olly ranted to his fans.
Now despite blaming The X Factor, the platform Olly got the video from automatically blocked it. A show source said: “It has nothing to do with the digital team. Of course, if Olly got in touch with the show that’s something they’d help with.”
Olly Murs turned down an offer to be a judge on The X Factor and instead decided to become a judge on The Voice, arguing that he had a ‘better chemistry’ with the rival song contest team.
There are some rumours of Olly and Simon Cowell’s rivalry, but the singer said that he loves Simon and The X Factor, though it doesn’t seem that he still feels that way after having to take his audition clip down.
Olly Murs has sold more than 13 million records worldwide since he was an X Factor runner up in 2009. He released his debut album in November 2010 which was a self-titled album, ‘Olly Murs’.
Since then Olly has released six studio albums in total, eighteen singles, and twenty-one music videos on recording labels Epic and Sony subsidiary Syco.
Olly Murs is currently dating Amelia Tank, the couple have been really cute together, spending the lockdown with each other and creating funny TikTok videos while doing challenges together.
