Haim lead midweek U.K. albums chart with their third latest album titled ‘Women in Music Pt. III’. This is their third studio album that was released through Columbia Records on June 26th, 2020.
The band consists of three sisters, being Este Haim on bass guitar and vocals, Danielle Haim on vocals and guitar, and Alana Haim on vocals, guitars, and keyboard.
According to OCC, the Los Angeles trio sister bands’ third album dominates the midweek albums chart, with a lead of nearly 5,000 combined sales. It’s also the best-selling album on vinyl so far this week.
The Haim band are on course for another U.K. chart crown. Their debut ‘Days Are Gone (Columbia)’ bowed at No. 1 in October 2013, and their July 2017 sophomore set ‘Something to Tell You’ reached second place.
Following Haim, Bob Dylan’s ‘Rough and Rowdy Ways’ currently sits in second place and is the market-leader on CD sales. ‘Rough and Rowdy Ways’ opened at No. 1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart last Friday, for Dylan’s ninth leader in the territory.
Jessie Ware is sitting at No. 3 on the midweek U.K. albums chart with her fourth studio album ‘What’s Your Pleasure? (Virgin)’, OCC reported it is the most downloaded album over the weekend.
The Haim album ‘Making Women in Music Pt III’ – WIMPIII or “wimpee” in short decided to celebrate the release of their new album by bringing the deli tour straight to their fans, they played a live set on YouTube from their favourite deli in Los Angeles last Friday and put donations towards the Bail Project.
Haim also recently released a music video ‘Don’t Wanna’ running around in The Forums parking lot. The band seems to have a signature look when it comes to their music videos and it looks like a lot of walking, with a move here or there and sometimes some running. –
The Haim band is keeping busy, signing a limited number of posters, having Zoom dance tutorials, and plans for appearing on shows, keep an eye out for what they do next.
