Dominic Cummings might have made a huge mistake, one that might cause him to lose his position as senior adviser to the Prime Minister. It was reported that Mr Cummings allegedly broke lockdown rules after a police investigation suggests so.

The Prime Ministers senior adviser has been the topic of conversation since news broke with regards to him having broken lockdown rules, it is speculated that Mr Cummings traveled to Durham, specifically to his parents residence right after the lockdown regulations were enforced in March.

During this time the travelling allowance for every individual was restricted to near-by shopping centers, exercising outdoors near your place of residence, or for medical emergencies.

The reasons for Mr Cummings having broken these regulations are supposedly based on the latter considering him and his wife were apparently showing symptoms of the coronavirus and thus were placing the responsibility of taking care of their son, onto Mr Cummings’ parents.

Many officials of the UK were less than impressed by Mr Cummings’ action and thus demanded that he be stripped of his title as the senior adviser to the prime minister. Acting LIB DEM Leader ED Davey (MP) advocated for this in an interview with Skynews pertaining to the topic.

“If it’s true that Dominic Cummings has breached these guidelines he should resign, if he doesn’t resign he should be sacked” said Mr Davey.

Many people would assume that those who enforced the rules of lockdown would be the very first to abide by them, however if these accusations turn out to be true it could perhaps spark a new conversation about political figures and their mismanagement of power.
