Netflix will premier its fourth and final season of ’13 Reasons Why’ on June 5. The show gave people a lot to think about, but not everyone appreciated the topic that it was dealing with.
The Netflix series first appeared in 2017 and now it’s time to say goodbye. The journey has been tough watching as many sensitive topics are brought to light, but one can’t help but get attached to the characters played in the controversial series.
The series was based on the novel, ‘Thirteen Reasons Why’ by Jay Asher, which explores taboo subjects, like rape and suicide. The story has been an emotional one and now it’s time for the drama to come to an end.
The ’13 Reasons Why’ official Twitter account and the YouTube Netflix account released a very touching montage of the cast as they had wrapped up their final filming –
Kate Walsh, who acted as Olivia Baker during the first three seasons of the Netflix series, told Pop Culture that “I’m very proud of the show, the contribution that’s made to the culture, and yeah, it’s been a delight’.
’13 Reasons Why’ has given us a lot to think about, especially about how we should treat each other the way we want to be treated because you never know how your words or actions could affect another person.
It is important to note that this Netflix series does not glamorize suicide, it is only to show how far one can get pushed until they feel like they no longer belong. Here is a message from the cast when they started the series. –
Some have been encouraged through the ’13 Reasons Why’ series on Netflix and are now sad that it is the final season.
