After suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage earlier this year, Carrie has announced that she is giving Boris Johnson another baby.
Last year, the couple welcomed their first son Wilfred but attempts to give him a baby sister or brother had proved unsuccessful.
In an effort to encourage other women to open up about fertility issues, the wife of the prime minister of the UK took to social media to express the joy of becoming pregnant again after the heartache.
Carrie, 33, who tied the knot with Boris Johnson, 57, on May 29 in a secret wedding ceremony at Westminster Cathedral, announced that baby number two would come this Christmas.
“At the beginning of the year, I had a miscarriage which left me heartbroken,” Carrie Johnson wrote.
“I feel incredibly blessed to be pregnant again but I’ve also felt like a bag of nerves. Fertility issues can be really hard for many people, particularly when on platforms like Instagram it can look like everything is only ever going well.
“I found it a real comfort to hear from people who had also experienced loss so I hope that in some very small way sharing this might help others too.”
Together with Boris Johnson’s ex-wife`s children, Wilfred`s little brother or sister would become the Prime Minister`s seventh child. however, Boris Johnson has not officially affirmed the exact number of his offspring.
