President Joe Biden is currently facing an impeachment threat only a few days after he was sworn in as the new President of the United States of America as Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene launched a challenge.
Mr Biden who’s currently the 46th U.S. President took the oath of office on Wednesday and quickly heads to work in the oval office where he on the same day overturn Trump’s executive orders.
Biden has placed the pandemic at the top of his list of challenges to face, plus rebuilding what he called a devastated economy and addressing racial injustice. But the impeachment threat on the President might be a distraction of some kind to the smooth run of his job.
Republican congresswoman Ms Greene has confirmed that she has filed articles of impeachment against President Biden. Sharing a video on social media, she told her followers, “I’ve just filed articles of impeachment on President Joe Biden. We’ll see how this goes.”
Ms Greene is an outstanding supporter of President Trump and has repeatedly said that he lost the U.S. election to Mr Biden due to voter fraud.
She also has her share of big tech punishment as she was recently blocked from using Twitter after some mob attacked the Capitol on January 6 and for saying Trump was not responsible for the action.
She’d said, “He has held over 600 rallies in the last four years and none of them included assaulting police, destroying businesses or burning down cities.”
Ms Greene previously said that Mr Biden should be impeached for alleged abuse of power while adding that this was due to his family’s business connections in China and Ukraine when he served as Barack Obama’s Vice President.
Ms Greene said: “President Joe Biden is unfit to hold the office of the Presidency. His pattern of abuse of power as President Obama’s Vice President is lengthy and disturbing.
“President Biden has demonstrated he will do whatever it takes to bail out his son, Hunter, and line his family’s pockets with cash from corrupt foreign energy companies.”
