Khloé Kardashian has helped Chaun Legend who’s a young Hollywood’s celebrity nail artist, with celeb clients including Cardi B, Kylie Jenner and Lori Harvey. Like other businesses, the nail polish artist’s business was badly affected and threatened to close up.
“Khloé Kardashian was one of the first people who hit me up. She was like, ‘I know you need money, and I need my nails done, so come on with it.’ Khloe is very thoughtful like that,” Legend told reporters.
That was very thoughtful of Khloé, but it didn’t end there…and Legend went on to say, “She was like, ‘If you’re OK with coming to the house I can wear a mask suit, and I will give you one. And we did it outside. It was very thoughtful of her.”
Legend also revealed the uniqueness of his clients, “Each client gives me something different, Khloé gives really good advice, so I love listening to her. Kylie is younger so she’s all about the ‘turn-up’, she gives me young energy.
“Cardi is cool, she would just get up and dance. Her family is always around, so they’ll blast music… Lori is more chill, and she’s calm. I like her because she gives me a lot of tea.”
Here’s part of what makes Legend so, so different from other nail artists…he thinks creatively, developing never-being-there kinda concept for his clients.
“I do fantasize and think through certain looks for events, or when one of the girls makes a new bag purchase and the nails that I would do to go with it. The thing now is that females like to match their nails with their bags.
“Khloé and Kylie love to match their nails with their bags. So I always ask them if they got a new Birkin so we can match it up with a nail design,” Legend said.
Legend said before getting his client to be so collaborative some time passed-by, “When I first started working with clients it was like, ‘We’re gonna do it over here.’ They don’t care if you are on the floor, or if you have someplace to sit.
“They are just in their own little world… don’t even talk to you, don’t even offer you a cup of water. You get so rushed, like, ‘You only have 30 minutes,’ or ‘Are you done? What’s taking so long?’ Now it’s just so different because they’re familiar with who I am,” he hinted.
