PM Boris Johnson is ready to fight it out with Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer during this afternoon’s Prime Minister’s Questions as the UK move to the three-tier system in a bid to control the coronavirus.
Mr Johnson will clash with Sir Starmer from No 10 virtually as he remains in self-isolation after meeting an MP who later tested positive for the coronavirus. Sir Starmer is expected to lash Mr Johnson during the meeting following govt. announcements on how his administration planned to tackle the coronavirus in the upcoming Winter weeks before Christmas.
The Prime Minister had announced this week that the UK will come out of lockdown on December 2 and then will go into a strengthened version of the national tier system still in a move to contain the virus.
He also said up to three households will be permitted to meet together for five days during the festive period in what is described as a “Christmas bubble”.
The Labour party leader is expected to clash with the Prime Minister as he had previously hinted that a lockdown should not be lifted until the R rate is below one, and that hasn’t happened yet.
