The high-spirited US President Trump announced in the early hour of Friday that he and First Lady Melania Trump have contracted the deadly coronavirus as the result came out positive.

A memorandum dated Thursday from the president’s physician confirmed the president and first lady will immediately start quarantine at the White House.
“Rest assured I expect the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering,” The memo added:
A few hours before President Trump twitted his positive COVID-19 results, news of one of his top aides, Hope Hicks, being diagnosed with the virus went viral earlier Thursday.
Hicks had travelled aboard Air Force One with the Trumps to Tuesday’s presidential debate in Cleveland. She also accompanied Trump to his Wednesday night rally in Minnesota and may have infected the Trump during these times.
During a phone call interview with Fox News, Trump acknowledged spending “a lot of time” with Hicks and said he was awaiting the results of his COVID test.
The president also explained to host Sean Hannity that he and his staff had issues with social distancing because Americans are often approaching them to express gratitude.
“When soldiers and law enforcement comes up to her, you know, she wants to treat them great. Not say, ‘Stay away, I can’t get near you.’ It’s a very, very tough disease,” Trump said about Hicks.
