On the 14th anniversary of the tragic death of a young man, the family members have called on the shooter to come forward.
The youngster, Daniel Ross was shot on a nightclub dance floor in the early hours on September 24, 2006. When the police arrived in Scala, Pentonville Road where the tragic incident took place the shooter had already vanished.
Mr Ross was rushed to the hospital immediately, despite all efforts which were made by the paramedics to save the young man`s life, he died later in hospital.
According to reports from those who witnessed the incident, a man walked up to Ross and gunned him down in the packed venue. The lone gunman then vanished from the scene and no one knows his whereabouts.
The family of the young man appealed for his killer to “do the honourable thing…..give yourself up”. In a statement today, the victim`s parents said: “We know that nothing can bring Daniel back but we can bring those responsible for his death to justice.”
Currently, no one has come forward with any information connected to the murder of the young man. Detectives have urged anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. They also issued a £10,000 reward for information.
Detective Inspector Will Reynolds said: “I would like to appeal to those present on that night, who has yet to come forward, to contact us.”
