Carole Baskin got emotional when discussing how the Netflix ‘Tiger King’ documentary has negatively impacted her life, now she is looking to clear her name on ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
Last weekend saw the animal activist making her debut on ‘Dancing With The Stars’, but she is still trying to ignore the backlash she receives from the show that saw her implicated as a ‘husband killer’.
Netflix’s documentary suggests that Carole Baskin was responsible for the mysterious disappearance of her second husband, Don Lewis, in 1997.
On Tuesday’s episode of the dancing competition, speaking to her dance partner Pasha Pashkov while unsuccessfully fighting off tears in the video, Carole said: “I keep it inside. That is the absolute worst of this.”
She recently stood up for herself to say that she is ‘not at all the person’ she was portrayed to be in the ‘Tiger King’ documentary, all she wanted was the animals to be out of harms way.
Carole said: “I am not at all the person I was portrayed in ‘Tiger King’. I am not the money-grabbing, gold-digging, murderous person that they portrayed.”
“I am the type of person who will come after any person who is abusing animals. I am relentless. I just won’t stop until I find some legal way to make it stop. From that perspective, I think they got me right.” – Carole added.
She went on to say: “Me as a person, that was a total assassination of my character for nothing other than whatever money they could get for selling that to Netflix.”
Following the documentary having negatively impacted her life, Carole is hoping that people will see her as a better person on ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
