Justin Bieber released a new song titled ‘Holy’ which features Chance the Rapper, they both appear in its music video which dropped September 18th.
The music video was directed by Colin Tilley and stars actress Ryan Destiny as the pop singer’s love interest and features Wilmer Valderrama as a soldier. Chance the Rapper makes an appearance to contribute a verse for the new single.
In the video clip, the pop singer portrays a worker in a factory whose job is shut down due to the “current and ongoing global situation”, but love and spirituality pull him through it.
“The way you hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me/feels so holy, holy, holy, holy, holy.” – Justin sings on the chorus.
It ends with Wilmer Valderrama appearing as a soldier returning home from war, who invites a hungry Justin and Ryan into his home for a meal.
Justin Bieber and Chance the Rapper first worked together in 2013 when the rapper contributed a verse to the single ‘Confident’ that the pop singer released. Justin then later appeared on Chance’s track ‘Juke Jam’ in 2016.
The pair have also joined forces on two different DJ Khaled hits, ‘I’m the One’ in 2017 and ‘No Brainer’ in 2018.
Justin Bieber released his fifth album ‘Changes’ earlier this year. ‘Holy’ is Justin’s second non-album single for 2020, following up the Ariana Grande duet ‘Stuck With U’ which was released in May.
The pop singer also starred in the video for Drake and DJ Khaled’s single ‘Popstar’ which dropped earlier this month.
The single marks a new era for Justin as it celebrates faith and hope in life.
The pop singer captioned his post sharing the arrival of his new song: “#HOLY out now with @chancetherapper. The new era begins. We made a movie @colinseyes @ryandestiny @wilmervalderrama”
