‘South Park’ first premiered on Comedy Central in 1997 and was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
The show is infamously known for its vulgarity and follows the lives of four elementary-age boys, named Stan Marsh, Eric Cartman, Kyle Broflovski, and Kenny McCormick, as well as the strange events that occur in their hometown of South Park in Colorado.
‘The Pandemic Special’ will be the adult animated series’ first-ever hour-long episode in its 23-year history on the network and it promises to be exciting as 2020 has been a year filled with a lot of devastation, besides the issues surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.
Comedy Central released an episode synopsis that reads: “Randy comes to terms with his role in the COVID-19 outbreak as the on-going pandemic presents continued challenges to the citizens of South Park.”
“The kids happily head back to school but nothing resembles the normal that they once knew; not their teachers, not their homeroom, not even Eric Cartman.” – The synopsis concluded.
