Justin Bieber shared with his fans his faith and how he wants to let go of his ‘selfish desires’ so that he ‘can be a good husband and future dad’.
Rising to fame at the age of 13 and becoming an instant pop star has its advantages, but it also has disadvantages as Justin opens up about the ‘insecurities and frustrations’ that he struggled with in his younger days.
In a lengthy Instagram post that he shared Sunday night, the singer said that after coming from a humble childhood he struggled to keep his values as fame took over his life.
The post read: “I come from a small town in Stratford Ontario Canada. I didn’t have material things and was never motivated by money or fame I just loved music.”
Justin went on to say: “But as I became a teenager I let my insecurities and frustrations dictate what I put my value in.”
“My values slowly started to change. I let ego and power takeover and my relationships suffered because of it.” – The singer added.
He included in his written post to his fans that all he truly wants now is ‘healthy relationships’, as well as ‘to be motivated by truth and love’.
“I want to be aware of my blind spots and learn from them. I want to walk in the plans God had for me and not try and do it on my own.” – Justin added.
“I want to give up my selfish desires daily so I can be a good husband and future dad! I’m grateful that I can walk with Jesus as he leads the way.” – The singer concluded.
Last month, Justin and his wife Hailey celebrated their devotion and love for God by getting baptized together during the travels to Idaho.
They were being baptized by pastor Judah Smith, who joined them on a boat to perform the ceremony in a lake.
Being more open about his faith Justin Bieber shared the photos on Instagram, he captioned the post: “The moment @haileybieber my wife and I got baptized together!”
“This was one of [the] most special moments of my life. Confessing our love and trust in Jesus publicly with our friends and family.” – The singer added.
