Chloe x Halle recently released a remix of ‘Do It’, collaborating with Doja Cat, City Girls, and Mulatto to add even more female energy to the track.
The original version of the track can be found on Chloe x Halle’s ‘Ungodly Hour‘ album which was released in June 2020.
The R&B duo of sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey announced a few hours before they released the collaboration that they have a surprise this Friday on September 4th. Taking to social media they teased their fans by saying: “Surprise coming fridaaaayyy.”
It really was a surprise to have the ‘Do It’ track remixed with so many other well known female artists.
Their fans’ reaction to the remixed track was positive, though some pointed out that Yung Miami, half of City Girls, seemed to give less than her best effort on the verse.
With some claiming that she couldn’t find the beat, Yung Miami took to Twitter to defend herself, saying: “My verse was for the kids & tik tok period.”

While promoting the ‘Do It’ remix, Mulatto was also involved in another collaboration released recently. A music video was released by G-Eazy who called on Mulatto for his latest song titled ‘Down’, which sees G-Eazy as a young hotel bellhop that serves as Mulatto’s “gigolo”.
She shared a short clip on Instagram and captioned it: “‘Down’ @G_Eazy ft. BIG LATTO out now.”
All these talented women have been busy this year with Chloe x Halle releasing their second album ‘Ungodly Hour’ at the beginning of June, they then performed in the pre-show broadcast for MTV’s Video Music Awards at the end of August.
With Doja Cat taking the stage later as part of the main program, as well as winning MTV best new artist award. She also recently revealed that her next album, which is apparently dancehall and afro-beat inspired, is on its way.
City Girls released their latest album ‘City on Lock’ in June, and Mulatto issued her new record ‘Queen of Da Souf’ on August 21st, which also features a collaboration with City Girls.
With everyone’s individual success right now, fans can expect to see the remix of ‘Do It’ to make a move on the charts.
