Another 6 people have sadly passed away due to the COVID-19 virus in Wales this increase the death toll to 28.
Incident director for the COVID-19 outbreak at Public Health Wales Dr Robin Howe said that a further 113 people had tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, which increase the number of confirmed cases in Wales to 741.
Dr Howe said: “We offer our condolences to the family and friends affected, and we ask those reporting on the situation to respect patient confidentiality.”
Dr Sarah Aitken who is the director of public health at the health board said “we are seeing similar pattens as in Italy.”
Dr Frank Atherton, the chief medical officer for Wales said: ‘The high number of cases in Wales in a complex issue”.
Dr. Atherton added that “It is closer to England, we know that the hotspot in the UK is around London and so being on the border with England is an issue,”
Today parliament asked the public’s help in finding fake news regarding the COVID-19 virus.
A lot of social media influencers and reporters are facing the risk of getting called to Westminster to answer why they are spreading fake Covid-19 information and conspiracy theories across the internet.
The Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee said that these fake news that are being spread are causing unnecessary fear amongst people.
