Day 5 of the 3rd Test between England and South Africa ended with the Proteas losing by an inning and 53 runs after the team were dismissed in their second inning for 237 all out.
England set a huge target for the Proteas to follow having scored 499/9d during their first innings.
Ollie Pope and Ben Stokes both set records for themselves during the first inning as they both went on to score centuries to help England set the target for South Africa to chase.
Quinton de Kock led the chase for South Africa scoring 63 runs for the side with Dean Elgar following up with 35 runs. All in all South Africa scored a meager 209 runs all out in their first innings. 290 runs off target.
In their second inning, the Proteas put on another dismal performance only being able to manage 237 runs before being taken out on the final day of the test. ….READ MORE…
